Darryl Bragg went to college with a fellow Land Cruiser enthusiast from Venezuela. In August of 2003, he travelled down to visit him, and they embarked on a week long adventure into the jungles of southern Venezuela. These poorly maintained jungle tracks are frequently used by 4x4 supplying the remote mining and logging camps, however after heavy rains, the roads quickly turn into seemingly bottomless quagmires.
