Hackett and Longwater Gulch, Colorado

These classic Colorado 4x4 trails are located in the mountains above Colorado Springs near the town of Divide. These trails were traditionally run in a pair, providing a full day of challenging trails and great scenery. The relatively low elevation ensured that these trails were open almost all year around. Unfortunately, these trails were engulfed in the Hayman burn fire in 2002, the largest wildfire in Colorado history. Due to severe erosion and the need for recovery, the trails are currently closed.
