ARB Bull Bar

One of the strongest bull bars on the market today, the ARB offers excellent protection for the front end of your 4x4. The ARB bull bar was designed for use in the rugged outback where a collision with an animal can immobilize a vehicle. It comes with an integrated winch mount designed to accept most Warn winches without any modifications, two auxiliary light tabs, a CB antennae tab and two integrated front attachment points for recovery. Comes in a semi-flat black powder-coat finish.

The Land Rover Defender winch bar is a heavy duty bull bar designed for use on all Land Rover Defender vehicles (90, 110 and 130) from model year 1983 to present. Discovery I - Non-Airbag Compatible Winch Bar (3432080)

The Discovery Series I Non-Airbag bull bar is designed for use on all Land Rover Discovery Series I from 1994-1999. It features integrated recovery points on the bottom of the bumper and two light mounting tabs. The light tabs can accommodate most small to medium size lights such as the Hella 550s pictured to the left. It also has the bracketry for mounting a Warn electric recovery winch such as the XD9000 at left. Fits Warn M12000, M10000, XD9000 and M8000 winch without modification.

Discovery I - Airbag

The Discovery Series I Airbag bull bar is designed for use on all Land Rover Discovery Series I from 1994-1999. It has the same features of the Disco 1 winch bar mentioned above. The principal difference is that this winch bar includes integrated crumple zones in the mounting points that are designed to collapse during collision, so as to not interfere in anyway with the operation of the air bag system.

While an excellent idea for safety, reports indicate that this bull bar is far less robust and more likely to bend in minor hits encountered off-road. The non-airbag winch bar above still allows the air bags to deploy during on-road collisions. Fits the Warn XD9000 and M8000 winch without modifications

Discovery I - Non-Winch

The Discovery Series I Non-winch bull bar is a bull bar designed for the Land Rover Discovery I. It provides the additional front end collision and off-road protection of a bull bar, but it does not have a winch mounting integrated into it. The lack of winch bracketry means that it is possible to mount larger lights to this bumper such as the Hella 4000s shown at left.

Although shown with color matched paint, this bumper comes powder coated black from the manufacturer.

ARB has designed an attractive, rugged winch bumper to compliment the lines of the Land Rover Discovery 3/LR3. ARB BUll Bar Design

ARB Bumpers have a number of innovative features which make them well suited for backcountry and expedition use.

Winch bumpers tend to impede or decrease approach angle. ARB bumpers minimize this by integrating a tapered wing. This taper increases the approach angle near wheels, where it matters most when tackling rocks and other obstacles.

One of the keys to the strength of ARB bull bars is their 5-fold design into the bumper's wing. This design allows for a significant increase in bumper strength, without the weight penalty of a fully boxed bumper.

The wings also feature integrated turn indicators, allowing your vehicle to retain its factory turn signals. On appropriate vehicles such as the Discovery IIa, the wing also features recessed mounting tabs for the factory fog lamps.

ARB bumpers come with integrated recovery points. These fully enclosed loops are located directly in front of the vehicle's chassis rails, helping to evenly distribute the stress of a vehicle recovery to the vehicle's stout frame.

From this angle, you can also see the triangular shaped bull bar upright. It is one piece and extends into the bumper itself, further strengthening the winch bumper in recovery operations, as well as in the event of a collision.
